LeapStart Core Program (Kindergarten to 2nd Standard)

Curriculum

The LeapStart Core Program manual contains 10 instructional units - each curricular component is presented in scope and sequence via daily lesson plans that are aligned to NASPE, PYP, NCERT and CBSE standards. Some of these units are -

  • Building a Foundation
  • Parachute
  • Manipulatives
  • Stunts & Tumbling
  • Throwing & Catching

Traditionally, these plans begin with an ASAP (Active Soon As Possible) to provide an enjoyable warm-up before the main lesson, with personalised fitness monitoring, social skills themes and clear visuals & diagrams. Also included are a variety of integration tips for completing this comprehensive curriculum.

This program also contains academic integration tips (with a special emphasis on literacy), social skills themes for each Standard (Class) and challenging extensions for each activity, all of which make for an absorbing session to the children.
